FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • 1. How do I book?

Booking with Trimby Photography is easy! Just get in touch via our contact page, email, social media or phone, and we’ll discuss the details of your project. Once we agree on a date and scope of work, we’ll confirm your booking with a deposit to secure your spot.

  • 2. How do I pay the deposit?

After confirming your shoot, we will send you an invoice for the deposit, which is the greater of either £100 or 20% of the total cost. You can pay this via bank transfer or PayPal (with additional fee) and once we receive the payment, your booking will be officially reserved.

  • 3. How do I prepare for the shoot?

Preparation is key to making sure your shoot goes smoothly! We recommend choosing locations, outfits, or props in advance that best reflect the look you want to achieve. If you’re unsure, we’re happy to give you guidance on how to get camera-ready. Feel free to ask us any questions beforehand!

  • 4. How long is a shoot?

The length of the shoot depends on the type of project. For most photography sessions, shoots typically last between 1 and 2 hours, while videography sessions will take a bit longer at around 2-3 hours. We'll let you know exactly how long your session is expected to take when we discuss your booking.

  • 5. What is the turnaround time?

After your shoot, we know you’re excited to see the results! The typical turnaround time is 2-3 weeks, depending on the type of project. We’ll keep you updated if anything changes and work to get your photos/videos back to you as quickly as possible without compromising on quality.

  • 6. How many revisions do I get?

You’re entitled to 2 rounds of revisions on your final photos or videos. This ensures we can make any small adjustments you need to achieve your vision. Any additional revisions beyond this will be charged at our standard hourly rate, but most clients find the first few rounds are more than enough!

  • 8. What should I wear to the shoot?

Your outfit can make a big difference in how your photos turn out! We recommend wearing something that makes you feel comfortable and confident. Solid colors generally work well, and it’s best to avoid overly busy patterns. If you’re not sure what would look best, we’re happy to give some advice before the shoot.

  • 9. Do you travel for shoots?

Yes! We’re happy to travel to your desired location for your shoot. Travel fees may apply depending on the distance, so feel free to reach out, and we’ll provide an estimate based on your location.

  • 10. What happens if the weather is bad on the day of the shoot?

We understand that sometimes the weather doesn’t cooperate! For outdoor shoots, we can reschedule if the weather is unsuitable, or we can discuss alternative locations. We’ll work with you to ensure we still capture beautiful moments despite any changes.

  • 12. What happens if I need to cancel or reschedule?

We get that plans can change. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please let us know at least 48 hours in advance to avoid any cancellation fees. We’ll do our best to accommodate a new date if rescheduling is needed.

  • 13. Do you provide raw, unedited files?

Typically, we do not provide raw, unedited files as they do not reflect the finished product that Trimby Photography delivers. However, if you specifically need raw files, let us know, and we can discuss options and any additional fees.

  • 15. What equipment do you use?

We use professional-grade cameras, lenses, lighting, and editing software to ensure the highest quality photos and videos. Our gear includes Sony A7IV, Sony A7III, Sony A6400, DJI Mini 3 Drone, GoPro and more, allowing us to capture everything from intimate moments to large events.
